Reclaimed wood, cut and joined into a round top a full metre across. At 35 cm it sits low, so it works in front of a deep sofa without cutting the room in half, and the circle means there is no corner to walk into. The top keeps the marks the wood already carried: old nail holes, tonal shifts, grain running in different directions from board to board. It is built by hand in Rajasthan, so the one that arrives will never match the photograph exactly.
