Recycled wood rarely gets used just once. Salvaged from planks and boards that already lived a lifetime elsewhere, it gets a second purpose here as the EMBLA sideboard — built new, but never from new wood, so the colour in the grain is already a few decades old.

Three drawers with brass handles handle the everyday clutter, while the open shelf underneath holds whatever doesn’t fit in a drawer — books, baskets, the things that need a home but not a hiding place. At 140 centimetres wide, EMBLA settles comfortably into a hallway, bedroom, or living room, and works just as well as a dressing table.
