Vintage Indian sideboard in solid wood — an original old cabinet. It was made as a cabinet, used as one for decades in a house in northern India, and it reached our Mallorca showroom exactly as it is.

The panels are the ones it was born with. They’ve shifted a little over the years, the way solid wood does, and the doors close with that slight resistance old furniture has. Layers of paint are worn back to bare timber along the edges, the iron fittings have gone dark, and one hinge was repaired long ago by somebody who didn’t mind it sitting crooked. Inside, the shelves still carry the marks of whatever stood on them.

We restore only what a piece needs to be steady and usable. No sanding away the years, no new finish pretending to be old.
