These wooden plates once sat at the heart of everyday life in Rajasthan — used daily for rolling and resting bread dough, worn smooth by years of patient hands. When they came to the end of their working life, local artisans gave them a second chapter, carving delicate patterns into the wood that tell a new story on top of the old one.

At 27cm, they work as a bread board, a cheese plate, a surface for fruit or candles — or simply as something worth looking at on a wall or shelf. The carved detail catches the light gently, and no two are the same: different grains, different marks, different patterns.
