A small iron chest of drawers with a raw, industrial surface. Not softened, not repainted.

38 x 51 x 77 cm of old iron with drawers that run a little rough, as iron drawers do. The surface is raw — dark, uneven, with rust showing at the corners and the odd stencil mark from whatever workshop or office it came out of. Set it against wood and the contrast does the work. Reclaimed and repaired by hand in India, deliberately not refinished. Una cómoda de hierro vintage — it holds tools, papers or cutlery, and it gives a Mallorca finca interior the harder edge that all that soft old timber needs.
