The colour is the reason to want this one. It sits dark at the foot and lightens as it rises, the way clay does when it has stood on damp ground for years.
Hand-thrown terracotta, originally made to store grain and water, with a patina that will only improve outdoors. Big enough to plant an olive in, striking enough to leave empty on a terrace.
There is one of this pot. Old terracotta comes with chips, hairline cracks and an uneven rim — all part of it — so ask for photos or a short video before it travels.
