Carried across decades and distance, this large wooden bowl from India arrives bearing all the marks of a life well used — gentle cracks, a patina deepened by hands and years, surfaces that no craftsman could deliberately make. At around 50cm across, it holds the room without asking for it.
Set it on a dining table, a floor, a stone step in the sun. Fill it with fruit, with nothing, with whatever the season offers. It doesn’t need instruction. Pieces like this have always known their place.
