These stones are collected by hand and polished to get a smooth surface by people from the local villages. The word Lingam comes from Sanskrit, and symbolises Shiva the goddess. It is also a symbol for fertility. The natural shaped colour patterns stand for female energy, intuition and wisdom. And the oval shape for masculine energy and knowledge.
